Okay, so I ended up having three drafts. What? They were not as tall as they use to be. So three was okay. After I ate French Onion Soup, medium chicken wings (extra crispy), with celery and blue cheese, I am now full and almost completely horizontal. [IMG]

I'm now sure that You Tube videos had instilled a false sense of confidence in my aptitude for wheel well mods-body panel repair..:hair:
The simple and somewhat common mod for stuffing bigger tires under old Cherokees can be very troublesome after removing body/wheel well moldings and finding ALL the hidden rust! LOL
New rear 1/4 panels are bookmarked and ready for purchase if my current attempts should turn out looking too jacked up.
Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your weekend. Peace.

    Great news Stinny !

Took three loads of branches from our back yard and two from my mothers to the tree dump a load each of rounds to where I process.

We then took advantage of a nice spring sale at our local fleet/farm store (Bomgaars) and got a landscaping project done we started last year.

We dug in and set a preformed pond in last year but weren't able to finish the landscaping until now.

Now we just need to plant some plants around it to make it pop! :)

Did you do a budget boost first?

Was this a xj Cherokee, or a grand Cherokee?

How big of tires are you talking?

the difficulty of installing a "flexible" chimney liner here too. It's done, but tough deal with one man and a willing but not so strong woman.

I had to put a new battery in the lawn tractor today. I assumed the battery would need a charge to be used the first time this year, as it did last year. Well, it wouldn't even jump from the 4runner, and it wouldn't accept a charge on the charger. Oh well. That was the first battery I had to put in it, and we've had the tractor since 2008.

$35 and it started right up. I got the lawn mowed, city plow lawn damage patched up, and took the dogs to the dog park. We then got grocery shopping done and we went to the local bar for burgers and onion rings.

3" Pro Comp kit, ie: new coils up front and full leaf spring packs out back, no spacers with shocks and tossed the bar-pin eliminator kit on those miserable upper shock towers in the back, no blocks, dropped x-fer case 3/4", new bump stops,,,kinda' of a budget kit.
Tires are 31x10.5 and was getting tire rub "inside" the front wheel well with factory rims so installed some offset American Racing rims (3/4" additional backspacing) and now getting tire rub "on" the wheel well.
Cherokee Sport is what I'm working with, pretty good rig imho, my daily driver. Might eventually work up to bigger tires with something like Rubicon rims,,it's a work in progress, admittedly I have some more learning to do...your advice is certainly welcome.
If I can't get a clean look by trimming these wheel wells back, I'll install new 1/4 panels and stick with the 31" tires.
