Yeah, I'd go nuts too if I was tied to my desk. I need to get up and help stuff get done.

I had a nurse calling my name while I was waking up from anesthesia, very nice lady. I was dreaming about eating a cheeseburger and told her that in my stupor (had to fast the night before). OMG, WWW had a bag with a Wendy's jr bacon cheeseburger ready for me in the waiting room when I made it out of recovery.:drool::banana: Woops I threw caution to the wind and ate the cheeseburger and fries anyway. Yep, it was delicious and stayed down:)

Long day of work, tired and an early morning awaits but I'm still wide awake. I found out our tax refunds were deposited in the checking account today so I sat down with my bride and had a blast writing out checks to the charities we support.

It was like Christmas around our house!

True that you would get bored, but look also think of this.
I don't know how old you are but at a certain point, you start being sore for longer periods of time than you used to be. It may not be such a bad idea to consider it and save yourself some aches and pains.
Not saying you can't keep on doing what you're doing, just saying if the opportunity presents itself to save yourself some discomfort, ya know?

Do you think they would be willing to negotiate that with you? Sort of a combination of both? Might be good for the company to have someone doing a combination of both. That way the "manager" is getting around and seeing what is going on.

Oh, wait. Then they may start expecting you to do both jobs in the same amount of time.

Good morning, mid 30's with upper 50's today and clear.
Mowed the yard yesterday, the ground was kinda' wet, guess I'll see how it looks when the sun comes up!

Hu, I remember the count down (and exclaiming, "ooh, that is nice") both times I was put under. I also woke up somewhere before they were finished both times (and remember the odd sensations of them working on me - no pain though). Then they put me back under but I remember from the second I start waking up.

Heck, I remember the time they thought I was in trouble after having oral surgery and they didn't think I was waking up. My heartbeat and BP were really low (I remember the urgency in their discussions at that) then they started shaking me and when I said "what?" they asked to move something (I did) and then asked if I was a runner. I answered yes because I knew that I couldn't explain that no, I wasn't a runner but did get plenty of exercise and always have low BP. In recovery I mentioned it and they were surprised I remembered.

It boils down to a $$$$$$ vs. Stress decision. Bosses are like diapers, always full of chit and always on your arse. That will no doubt be how it will be viewed by the inexperienced staff, and that's what you get to deal with. Is it worth it? Only you know the answer to that question as it pertains to your situation. You know the cast of characters you will be dealing with. Good luck which ever way you choose.....

I would take less $ for less BS. My tolerance for BS is at an all time low and I don't see it improving.

I was able to get a couple more hours of chainsaw work done today, between a multitude of other things. I have to wait for the ground to dry up before I go in with the 210C and get everything on the ground out of that section. It could be several weeks before its dry enough.:(Oh well, plenty of other stuff to do.
