I am freezing my azz off tonight in a steel relay box on the side of the tracks soaking up the OT. But the lady is at home ripping thru some cheat rivers which have been a pleasant surprise. If they had a tic less ash and a tic more heat they might have become a regular in my stash

Honestly this might be the first time I've head some good on these. Most of what I have heard/seen is yuk/blah and such... But things change, So if they work, Its all that matters.

. Yeah. I cant believe it myself. Nice clean flame. Glass is staying very clean as well as the entire chamber area. But there quite ashy. Ash is very light. Liken powder almost. And also there not very hot.

A little North Country update , on med with feed gate wide open 350 ° from vents and 500 ° ctr glass . good clean heat . The pellets were on the small size with lots of fines . Not a durable pellet but overall a very good one . ( shipping could have contributed to some of the fines )

Glad they are working out for you . The 1st time I burned them ,no issues an OK pellet the 2nd time they were garbage , left all kinds of junk behind in the burn pot . The 3rd time I burned them they were re bagged TSC red bags , I got them during the " Great Pellet Shortage " a couple years ago just to CYA as my stash was getting low with plenty of cold days ahead , and they burned fine .

I think they were a fairly new player in the pellet world ,and suffered some growing pains ,sounds like they got their quality control [ chit together] .

Here's the pic's of the junk batch I burned ,I know I've posted these before, but , some new folks may not have seen them, just a public service announcement " Always try a few before you commit to tons "

I used them as my primary pellet 2 seasons ago. They burned clean and hot, but they had a lot of fines back then too and also had many small broken pieces-my stove isnt bothered by fines so it was a non issue.

Good deal man !!! I am still waiting for the ground to freeze a bit so I can load up the truck and drive 3.6 ton from the garage, across the front lawn, down an embankment and back it up to the basement door 30-35 bags at a time and no tire ruts in the lawn. I use to do it with a wheel barrel 5 bags at a time-that really sucked and that embankment was always fun stopping at the bottom with 250lb .......

Update: have been burning -only- La Cretes for the past week, stove typically needs to be shutdown 18 hours w/ other pellets in order to clean out the burn pot, ended up running over 30 hours w/ these, and the stove could have kept on going.. We're Happy Campers here.

Will have to re-tune stove settings and run some CF Pacifics and LGs before picking up more supply, but La Crete will be the cold weather pellet here.

I won't get up that way again until next summer. If I remember, I'll stop by there and buy a couple of bags for testing.

Well, IMO, isn't that the most important thing? I guess it'd be OK if only used for shoulder season.

Okie Platinums with some Okie Gold and other misc mixed in. The Plats will definitely be my season pellet if and when it finally starts to get really cold.
