Being a Husky they put that there in order to keep the pieces from falling on the ground when it breaks. Sorry ; couldn't help myself.
Neighbor dropped off this nice 288 He'd had it at a couple of shops And they couldn't fix it I'll fix it this week He also brought me this 272 It just needs a piston kit and carb kit, fuel line etc. He gave me this 257 it's in good shape with great compression I'll fix it after the other 2 are done.
Fixed the 288 The Husqvarna dealer or the other shop he had it at left the carb and ignition module loose and stole or lost his air filter I replaced the crank seals and oil pump O ring It runs strong returned it today He was very surprised I don't think he ever got to run it He bought it non running.
I took a look at the 257 what felt like good compression was a mud daubers nest Going to convert it to a 262
I put a amazon 262 cylinder kit on the 257 The air horn and air dam were so brittle they crumble I had to file the side of the cylinder so the flywheel would clear It runs strong with great compression I was tuning it in wood it needs seals I'll change them tomorrow.
I did the seals today but still need a 262 intake manifold I thought I had one but I don't If anyone does seals on these Put a little gasket maker on the oring and fasteners I use motoseal but whatever your flavor.
you do nice job on the body clean up What is that you used to get over shoulder so the seal didn’t roll? I like the window on pasta boxes. Real thin. Bin putzin with this one for almost 3 months.
I have a 3600 psi pressure washer It takes everything off and I don't care about sticker's 1.00 foaming shower cleaner loosens most stuff before I pressure wash it. I usually use a pop can so slide the seals over the shoulder This was a motoseal package window.
Stopped at my niece's and got her saws ready Heavy rains yesterday brought a lot of tree's down and very high winds today The electric is flashing on and off. I carry this saw box in the truck usually when I visit there's something to work on I had too many saws setting around year's ago and I gave her and her husband a 028 wood boss and 028 super A jonsereds 920 her husband actually used to run logging for a friend that passed away And a chusky 372 I built He likes the 372 the best.
Rebuilt my neighbors 272 he wanted a budget build so I threw a 11.00 Raisman piston kit on it Good looking piston with good fitment I use the oem circlips from the old pistons I rebuilt the carb and new fuel line I heat cycled today tomorrow I'll tune it in wood That's the original oem top cover it faded weird.
Stopped at my friends he loaded 11 saws for me to fix He needs this 395 for a tree job After I pressure washed it I've got a new piston kit, seals and carb kit on order.
BRAD's little 201 sits on my bench now. Slight damage from a tree. Needs a new top handle and some air filter assembly parts. Got to repay some of the favors he has done for me.
