The chip didn't come with instructions so I wired it as a negative ground like any others I've used. Found that drawing online. I wasn't aware that some saws have positive ground like old tractors. I'll reinstall the chip as positive ground and report back my findings.

Makes me kinda wonder who held onto the negative ground theory the longest, for production stuff, and till what year.

If it does the same thing wired as positive ground, then it must be the remmy coil doesn't play nice with modernish technology. Lol.

This makes about 30 to 40 of these china rims I've bought about they are only about a 1.50 each
They've held up great for me.
Oregon went to 9.00 per at my local shop I get 10 of these for 16.00 shipped.

Checking to see how this Sachs Dolmar 133 Super might clean up.
I’m not optimistic the rest of the cover will follow the filter cap, but hopeful

That poor Husky cover in the background has had a hard life.

Just a few fines in the carb. That should be ok.

I got this very beat 288xp in for a rebuild
It's had some bad repair work done to it
It has 6 different fasteners on it
But the crank and bearings are still good IMG_20230306_135713590_HDR.jpg
    IMG-20230306-143345903-HDR.jpg IMG-20230306-161340788-HDR.jpg IMG-20230309-124950587-HDR.jpg
My friend gave me 24 of these 20 gallon containers
I break down saws and put them in the containers until the parts arrive
I can fit 4-6 in each one IMG-20230309-140907821-HDR.jpg

I like the big buckets! I’ve got a few plastic totes that work pretty good. Definitely an improvement over oil soaked cardboard. Especially when the smalls get under the flaps and you don’t find them until after you ordered new!

Those containers have been a hit
I now have 34 of them they are as handy as a shirt pocket as the old saying
I use them to store everything.
    Tools,saws, reloading equipment etc.
They also make excellent portable seats
Lol I have a few in my shop
I've sold about 200 of them
People are using them for planters for tomatoes and cucumbers building a trellis above them IMG_20230308_115451689_HDR.jpg
Farmer's and horse owner's bought most of them.

These 15 gallon one's are not as popular as the smooth lid 20 gallons are.

    Rebuilt that 288 today IMG_20230316_131606364_HDR.jpg
I used a hyway piston kit kit IMG_20230316_133448503_HDR.jpg
Since it has a Briggs and Stratton pull start I used a Briggs coil wire to fix it IMG_20230316_141819992_HDR.jpg IMG_20230316_151119341_HDR.jpg
The decomp and carb fuel barb were leaking badly I think that's what scored it
So I plugged the decomp and put a new am carb in IMG_20230316_145244810_HDR.jpg
It started on the second pull and I tuned it in wood
It held it's tune and is easy to start.

    A neighbor is bringing me a 288 and a 272
He had three shops work on them and couldn't fix them
Apparently if it's not a bad sparkplug they won't work on it.
