What do you need? Guy I work with bought a running parts saw because his twisted the crank end off. I was going to see about get what was left from him to make this one go if I needed a cylinders ect but the rest would be around if I get it. I swapped the crank for him and put new bearings in it.
Made a spot at my nieces garage next to a 100hp+ kz1000 engine they built for some hill climb deathtrap they are building. I'm rebuilding 2 272s new pistons, seals, carb kits and fuel lines I tuned up a Chinese 372 and 028 super I had gave them.
last two saws I fixed up 350 is ready to sell and the 171 just needs an air filter when it comes in. Got lost out of the bins when I bought them from local shop.
Was going to ask 275$ I pulled it all down got rid of the crappy plastic carb boot clamp and replaced with a metal screw style off an 034-036 Stihl. Cleaned carb and tuned it, didn’t have a bar so I put the nicest bar I had on after sharpening the chain. Also loctite on the troublesome muffler bolts, high temp red so will require heat to pull the muffler off but seen to many of these destroyed by loose mufflers. I didn’t have a 346 muffler support to add.
They sold those plastic case harry home-owners at Lowes so I guess it appealed to DIY'ers. I'd double your offer but not much more.
That’s great and the equivalent saw now is 450-475 plus tax and in my opinion a worse saw definitely worth more than 100$.
I wasn't implying you were way off on your price. Every area is definitely different. There are 3 listed close to me for a buck fiddy. Then there's a pawn shop trying to sell one for $375. I have a soft spot for them. With a ported 346 top end, they make a stellar power to weight ratio saw. I have the Jonsered version.
Wow, that went right over my head. I read fifty, then eventually put the "gimmick" with fixed it for you. I'm in a point in my life where I need readers for the fine print. When I look at my phone, the small details sail by.
