3-4 inch thick pork shoulder cuts...almost like a pork cowboy steak. I trimmed the skin off and used canola oil for a binder with hog knuckle rub and a sprinkle of smokehouse maple

I Love the looks of your Lonestar grill. It made me curious about it, so I found their website and watched the video about them, Very Nice Grills, and made in AMERICA We like our Traeger, and can’t justify replacing it, although Traeger started just south of the Cesspool known as Portland, Oregon in 1985, building them there, it turns out that they did shift production to Chyna in 2010, so unfortunately it turns out our 2014 Traeger wasn’t American made If we had a need to replace our Traeger, I would definitely look closer at the Lonestar. Is yours the 36” model, that would be bigger than our Traeger Jr, and typically bigger than we need, but I think the price difference between the 36” and 42” was only about $200, so for the price range of the Lonestar, I would probably consider the 42” I Like the pneumatic tires on yours, the video showed grills with either the pneumatic or the small solid wheels, but didn’t mention anything about ordering or pricing I just got another batch of Salmon in brine a bit ago, so I will be rinsing and letting the pellicle start forming about 1:00 am my time, I should have gotten an earlier start, the day just snuck by me before I knew it. I will be able to start smoking around 9:00 am, and should be ready between noon and 1:00 pm Doug
