    Lit the smoker at 0600 for todays Labor day cook out! :grizz: Today was the day when everyone is off work and could get together so it's our tradition here.     IMG_1669.JPG A simple day on the grill today. Had brisket/short rib burgers with some sirloin burgers. The four lighter color burgers are the brisket/short rib mix which were great.

    I found them. I was saying to the wife afterward that now that we've tasted them we can grind our own.

    It came out nice & tender, as always. The host has an auto body shop, and if he fixes your car, you're invited. Along with a lot of other folks. His dad was a pig farmer, now the pig barn is the auto shop. As you can imagine, it was a job converting it! Just smells like paint now.

    The last round I did, I did fresh mushrooms and cream cheese.... but my better half doesn't like mushrooms... so I just went with plain Jane... it wasn't too bad... but I did like the shroom version... the bacon really helps hold the patty together...
