Not steak but it'll do. I just stocked up with 3 butts... @.99c. Thought I was doing good, been a long time since I've seen it at .87!
I like to do that to. We see wild swings in prices on meat so the odd time I find a deal I like to stock up. Prime rib roasts, briskets, pork butts occasionally go on a real good sale but its often only once or twice a year.
Leftover spaghetti for me tonight. Buddy got a nice deer on me this afternoon. 9 point, filled up a 6' bed.
Hot sausage smoked on the lonestar mixed with beef and put into a glass pan with cheese, noodles and sauce...couple slices pork steak and some salad texas toast garliic bread
Nothing fancy here but I smoked these pork loin chops tonight for about an hour at 200f over hickory and then did a quick sear. Weve warmed up quite a bit so it was a balmy -10c/14f. The kamados are great in cold weather. They take a little bit more to get up to temp but then holds it like a champ. Ive used this in -30c/-22f and it has no problem holding what ever temp I need it to.
