    Thanks!
The thighs on the left were seasoned with whiskey bent "pecanerry" and I hit them with meat mitch whomp bbq sauce for the last 30mins. The thighs on the right were seasoned with whiskey bent "the yard" and not sauced.

Never heard of the whiskey bent rubs, but I would like that pecanerry one. I have a cherry and a pecan rub now and they're some of my favorites.

The pecanerry is really good. Great flavor!

Looks delicious! Where did you get that burner? I use one that is for a fish boil or fried turkey pot and the heat gets way too hot by my hands, even though I use a ring. Yours looks like the perfect setup.

NortheastAl I got it on eBay. There were a couple others that were a bit cheaper but they didn’t have the electric ignition. I was ok with that but I couldn’t get a clear answer from the seller if they had the pilot tube installed already or not. From quick research I know some come without and you have to plumb it in, I didn’t feel like dealing with that. Plus this one is from NaMilux which is a legit company out of Vietnam who manufactures gas appliances, who knows about the others.

I went turkey fryer burner route a couple times, it was ok but this is worlds better. It does still get crazy hot though. Gonna have to put some sort of fabric around handle closest to wok. I was thinking of setting it into a stainless steel prep table but this is working out ok for now. I don’t have a ton of room left for cooking stuff so that may never happen. Let me know if you end up getting one, they’re a lot of fun and the high heat imparts a certain taste I could never achieve on my home stove. I burned some food and lit the whole damm wok on fire so far, so there’s definitely some learning/skill involved!

It looks like this would work better for me. We have an electric stove so that only works with a flat bottom Wok. It never was easy to control the temp. I’ve seen some that were mounted in a stainless steel table, but they’re crazy expensive. If I decide to get one I’ll let you know.

I spoke to the owner of the wonder wok company, Greg. He was great, called me back on a Saturday and answered some questions I had. I was going to buy one from him but once I started looking around I realized I could get everything for more than half off his price. His customer service is top notch and For someone who wants everything in one shot I think it’s a great option. The convenience may justify the price in that case but for me it didn’t.

I hear you. If I wanted to get a full setup that would be the way to go.

Had to go to the dentist today and on the way home, grabbed this road kill. Should be good.

    Any idea what it was?

    yooperdave guinea hen?

Local grocery store had whole hams on sale for $.59lb. Needless to say we had ham for dinner. I already have two in the freezer but couldn't pass up the price.
