Buddy did this the other on his stove... Sounded good... so I’m throwing mine on the grill... kick in’ it up a notch... .... That sounds good too...
They turned out nice. Not a whole lot of heat. Just a nice settle heat... which surprised me.... will have to definitely do those again....
Decided it was time yesterday to put on a Tri-tip and some burnt ends. Believe it or not I picked up both at Costco. The tri was pre-marinated and the brisket ends were already smoked.
I have never had or smoked tri- tip, and only ever found it in a stove one time and that was at WalMart. I <should> have bought both pieces they had for sale but my freezer was pretty full and I just thought I would grab some later. Of course have not seen any since that day so...... no tri- tip for me, at least so far. Brian
There’s only one place near me that I can find Tri-tip, but now they had it at Costco. Don't know how long they will continue to carry it, but it come out tasty and tender. I did it on the gas grill this time. Usually I’m using charcoal when doing meats other than hot dogs and hamburgers. This year I’ve seemed to have slowed down a bit and gotten a little lazy.
I have to ask for it at my local Hannaford, and the answer is usually call on a certain day and if any came in they'll put it aside for me. I almost never see it in the case.
Coupla garlic mustard summer sausage, mustard seed seems to be unobtanium right now...maybe everybody's making pickles?
Just a pile of burgers for the week. Been awful busy lately and as I rolled the kamado out of the shop it dawned on me that it's been prolly a month. Most of last month was too hot, but Mrs. Fuelrod has been cooking chicken and steaks over wood.
Cooking 60 wings and some burgers for a tailgate party at church this evening. Gonna have a bluegrass group singing too.
