Those look like Market Basket? No one beats their burgers (those with a meat counter), even better than real butcher shops around here The bacon/cheddar, cajun, and blue cheese burgers like yours are
By hand with a 8” filet knife, I also use that knife on moose, caribou, rainbows, grayling and salmon.
They came from a butcher shop in Amherst N.H., the meat selection at our local market basket is hit or miss.
True on MB being hit or miss on the meats. But the one I get great burgers from is a new store with a butcher shop area. The other MB in the area do not have these burgers or the meats like this one. Those burgers you had look exactly like the ones at MB.
Debating about a new smoker have an order for briskets this week - work bbq party My Akorn does them perfectly but I pegged the temp needle 750+ Friday and gasket integrity may be questionable. Not sure I want a dedicated smoker box or pellet grill but extra room would be nice.
Good to know, I haven’t been in one of the newer market basket stores. I have heard that they have more to offer.
Is the Akorn ceramic? 750+ wont bother it of so. The gasket shoukld be fine. Frankly I have never changed the gasket after about 8 years of heavy use including many over 750 cooks. BUT if its room you want either a smoker or pellet grill will work. Pellet grill need power but offer grilling options as well.
not ceramic it’s double stamped metal with insulation in between. I tried to fit the two packers on tonight and they will probably fit once trimmed with wood blocks underneath. Gaskets look ok I was able to squeeze fluff them up so we’ll see how it goes Thursday. Smoking jalapeños for my rub and spare ribs for dinner tonight.
Dual briskets. Had a snafu at 5am trying to get everything going and my heat diffuser broke in half. MacGyvered an old carpenter square with a hacksaw to support it for the cook
