I just bought a ton and a half (75 bags) of Olympus for $272 + tax or for a grand total of about $300.
White with a log cabin and the dealer just had them delivered recently, guess older stock but look fresh to me .
The Log Cabin bag is still being produced. The one with the clear back we call the Sunset bag. Just different bags for different dealers. You probably won't see the Sunset bag outside of Maine.
Still munching on Greenways here.... My wonderful bride Fire Flake vacuumed the stove out before I got home.... apparently she forgot to pay attention to me pointing out the gasket rope I had installed to the right side of the BP. She said as I walked in a bit ago, “I sucked up that piece of gadget you put in the stove. I thought it was a bird or something.” I wuv her
MWP upstairs and downstairs have to say I really like these Pellets as consistent as you can get at least with this ton . Burning great for a blend pellet and if I could get a good price in the spring would certainly consider grabbing a bunch. See what it looks like this spring for pricing a solid pellet for sure .
Strange must have been abused as the dozen bags I got and toasted had almost no fines at all, did not burn as clean as I expected the heat was satisfactory but the pellets themselves were soft for one reason or another .
I have always thought them to be pretty consistent myself. I ran out and am burning Natures Own right now and they don't seem to have the heat the MWP's did.
yeah they are soft and that would explain all the fines, they burned equal to the easy blaze I burned prior but the big heat seem to throw more heat
I've saved one bag from the TSC MWP's I got a couple of months ago. Wasn't really saving it for anything, but figured why waste it on warm-ish temps. well, Mother Nature heard the keening from that stranded bag - tomorrow evening it will be joining its pallet-mates in the sky (might have to buy another bag or 2 to stretch thru those 3 nights.
