Thanks man! I've really been slacking lately with testing. Between having some personal chit going on and no pellets really worth testing coming around the area this season I just haven't been into it. I did just receive a bag yesterday of Tru-Wood pellets made in Selinsgrove, PA that I'll probably dump in tomorrow......right after I dust off the tester stove in the garage. If you get a chance, look up Bucks Pellets in Fountainville. Joe is a member here and a great guy. He's has softie pellets that no one else carries around here. He's located at the Bromm's Lullaby Nursery in Fountainville. I grabbed a couple bags of Chow's a few weeks ago. I burned one bag but gave the other one away with a stove I sold. Chow's always seem to burn very well but always have different levels of ash volume year to year and maybe batch to batch. About 3-4 years ago they were pretty outstanding but typically not the norm with them. IIRC a few members here got a hold of the same Chow's with similar results that year. Oh...I also grabbed 4 more bags of Chow's this morning to give them a go again....
Dayum!!!! Good work!!! I have to drop my kid off at the Lansdale train tomorrow. Did you happen to notice if the Montgomery Lowe's had open pallets of Nature's Own? Those are the same as Chow's but I'd like to grab a few for comparison.
Who would have thought I'd be buying Stove Chow for extra heat output . No complaints really just vacuum the stove as usual . A little bit of clinkers at the bottom but no big deal . The pics are after 4 bags .
All because I didn't feel like driving 25 miles . To be honest I have a new leased SUV and I'm trying to keep the mileage down and the HD is just down the road from where I work . Looking forward to every ones results .
Here we go one of my pellet houses is now carrying Energex / Stove Chow I believe . Pellet Early Buy Prices - Pellet Stoves, Wood Pellet Inserts, MA, RI, Wood Pellets
The guy who does there delivery says they are the most popular.Has anybody burned this years Cubex?I had bad luck with it in the past.
I picked up a few bags of the cubex they were selling last season, and they burned fine for me. I’d say one of the better quality hardwoods we’ve tried here.
