Not sure if you're talking about the Vermont's and 802's but I'm confused about this as well. They each have their own website with different towns listed in their address. But I have done a google search for 802's and the results come back with Vermont Wood Pellets. I'm going to Vermont in Sept. and plan on trying to find out what's what.

I'll take any PTL's you want to get rid of - the P43 thrives on that stuff. I finished off my PTL's in February :(

It will go away quick this time of year. No chance of staying around long with the 50 to 60 degree temps that are (almost)here!!

Saw a fella in shorts on my way home. Ehh, It be warm. But not that warm!! :loco:

Looking forward to it maybe do it a bit earlier this year so Steve and I don't get caught in a snow storm on the way home .

The way this winter has been hangin about? I wouldn't bet on it. :zip:

Put the Still rivers in last night. Woke up chilly? Was gonna text my bud and give him heck. But it was because we had a power flicker. Stove went to default low............ o_O

Reset the heat level and they seemed to be as good as or better than the FSU once it got cranking. No comment on the ash just yet. But the heat seems decent.... 250ºF so far. Set the data logger to check peek and get an average. I'll let that run for a few ours.

Aint that the truth. It's like we traded off and flipped having the weather we should have now and the weather we should have had a month ago.

This winter hasnt seemed too bad because we had a lull and warm weather for several weeks but it has been all over the place in regards to major weather swings. One week nice and warm, then we get walloped

OK got my trial done on the first bag of the Still Rivers. Not much to do except play with fishin gear. Might as well test some to get ready for the next purchase.

Peek temp was 250ºF and an average of 246ºF. Not a heat monster by no means, But not much off from some of the staples. Should be a decent pellet for most of the season, Ash is a bit higher than the FSU and NO. But under 0.7%. Do-able if the price is right??
Sets will be the cold weather pill for next season and might get the following after that if I'm cautious on loading em in the beast!! Splitting the 95 up gives about 48 per season. So I bestes get 1.5 to 2 tons of something so I don't need to hog the sets up next year......

As a comparison to the others I've burned this season:

Hamers had a peek of 268ºF and an average of 262ºF.
Natures Own peek of 256ºF and an average of 248ºF
FSU peek was 248ºF and an average of 236ºF
GS's peek was 232ºF and an average of 218ºF

Note: all done on a medium heat setting(feed rate 3-feed trim 3). Checked with a probe measuring convection air.

Might stop and get a few more of what might be choices for next season. EZ Blend and what ever is priced in their price range?? Don't think it'l be BBS chit unless TSC unloads a duper deal which isn't very likely!!
