I think any of these deals this spring may likely be left over stuff they have stacked in their yards. No one has been beating their doors down to buy any. From what I hear they are reaching out to dealers an offering deals. But that doesn't keep the doors open as they have to get orders to keep their employees working. So they may(and repeat MAY) have to pull some stuff to get dealers to reorder for late summer fall stock. All depends if those deals are passed on to us minions??

Just a guess on my part and its mainly hoping we see some dandy deals to re-pig the stash!! I'm just not feeling the BBS thing. We might see the pellet house offers more in our favor??

Not expecting much for end of season deals here. Based on inventory levels and pricing, the local stores are definitely playing it very safe and not stocking much. Cripes, I think the only thing left at the local TSC is the 10-ton roadside display they put out in July. Seems the stores learned their lesson good last season. Only way I can think of there would be some really great deals is if the mills, overrun with product, throw the dealers a giant bone to pass onto us. That's a big IF. Who knows. Kind of curious to see what early buy pricing will look like this year, though.

Based off of hearing that pellet mills are constantly calling the boutiques, I'd be shocked if there weren't some good deals to be had. Chit, Hamer sort of started things early with AWF offering some discounts at one point too.

Agreed, But the dealers have also had a go of it. They might have picked up that we will come if there be a deal......... I'm gonna bet a few of the good ones do. And share some of the savings. It will move some if they do.

Every dealer I have talked have said the mills are peddling. But the price right now is decent, Just not a gang bustin bargain.

    We can wait!! ;)

here's the squeeze... like all of you I'm waiting for pricing. but whatever stock ends up still in my inventory will get sold next year at a reduced price (assuming the mills will give us deals lower than currently being offered)..... so we get squeezed in the middle of .......pass on the best deal we can to the customer - and take less margin than is healthy on existing stock. hopefully we'll move so much new stock that the leftover inventory won't matter much.... or maybe we'll see another warm winter.....gees!

we will also see an uptick in shipping costs i believe, as diesel goes over $2.55 a gallon presently

time to get my crystal ball out:sherlock::sherlock::sherlock:

still a fun business, and good people!

Hopefully (for us pigs :D) the increase in shipping cost(s) and whatever discounts the mills may offer don't wind up being a wash in the end.

We appreciate that very much!! And likely will grow your customer base.

Hope not, For you and the mills sake. 3 in a row might be too much for some to bare?
