Burning a few bags of Hamers that I squirreled away. Still have a small batch of Hamers, Blazers and Sets for cold spells. Cant bring myself to light up the last few bags of Sets I got. :(

Want to keep the shack a bit warmer cause our grandson is supposed to be coming over to watch the Giants game with me. :D

    burning EasyBlaze Super premo softwoods..

Mixed a bag of Okie Golds with a bag of Inferno's (what the P61a has been running lately). Couple of cold night coming up so want to bump up the heat coming out of the stove a bit. But, not so cold that I need to do a complete change over. P43 is still on PTL's.

never quite understood mixing pellets [unless you got stuck with something like easyheats or WallyWorlds Penningtons. and needed to sterilize the mix].:jaw:
why mix pellets other than stretch the good stuff or.... above example/? just Axin:tears:

I got way more cheap stuff (~7.5 tons) than I have of the Oakies (a bit less than 3 tons), and I'm way too cheap to buy any of the good stuff when it is usually $300+/ton. I don't need the full heat of the Oakies in the temps forcast. If it were going to be negative digits overnight AND single temps during the day, I'd just go with straight Okies, but that isn't the case. Plus, I don't NEED to use the Oakies at all right now - just spoiling myself a bit.

No.... Just liked the name, and a clean burning fire, hence the handle.

They're sold over at woodpellets.com - it's their brand name.

I got a few bags of the Cleanfire pacifics too. Adams Market is selling them . My younger son works there and gets a discount on em. I would never have bought them at there retail price as I is a cheapie. Think they burn ok.
And hey Skeeter, my E2 shut off yesterday afternoon and wifey couldn't restart it. I gave it a quick clean and code was missed ignition. She said it did not run out of pellets. I stuck the vacuum up the shute and a lot of fines came out. After the clean up she fired up and has been running great.

I bought 2 bags of Platinims and 2 bags of Crabbe yesterday. The Platinums are burning now. I'm liking them. They went in after Lacrete, and I'm thinking these are better. Just as hot and less ash. The Lacrete are deceiving. all the ash blows out of the burnpot, but it's still there. At least the ton I have. I don't know if Steve got a bad bag of the Platinums or not, but these are burning better than his review of them.
