How are those Blazers doing on the higher heat setting.

2 plus bags of Lacrete a day in these temps. Skeeter scared me away from the Lacrete/Blazer blend when he said he didn't get as much heat from the Blazers. I kind of got that impression with them last year but I didn't really look at it. I have a little test planned for them.

Fired up the 25+-PDVC in the basement tonight for the first time with FSU's in the hopper. Colder than hell here. The freakin wind is just sucking all the heat out of the house. 7* outside, 73* inside.

Stove on heat level 4.5, flue thermometer on side of stove reading 450*. Inside temps starting to climb. Can't stand in front of the stove for more than 15 seconds before my belly starts smoking.

AWF pines in the hopper and they suck, they burn ok but I'm not getting the heat I'm used too with hardwoods. for the first time ever I had to run my stove on heat level 2 last night to hold 74 in the house. I will be going back to hardwoods as soon as the hopper is empty and keeping the pines for shoulder pellets.

Just shows how different stoves react to different pellets .

Burned the AWF pines in both my stoves last night , no adjustments on the stove 70* inside this morning a few degrees less than normal , but it is 4* outside and the wind was kicking azz .

Not terrible here. 4 degrees, wind didn't seem so bad after 2100. Had the West Point on low and the Englander hi/lo heat level 3 of 9.

It's a nice feeling knowing that as cold as it was you don't have to push the stoves to the max to stay warm

At least that wind stopped howlin!! Blow the shovels off the deck at 11:30pm and down the steps. Doggy though it was a visitor and yelped her head off for ten minutes....... Had to get up an investigate. Notice the outside thermometer said 1ºF

3ºF here this morning. Warmest I saw was 5ºF on the ride in. :shiver:

House was 71ºF and the stove was idling(already up to temp) thanks to them hamers. Started the wifeys truck before I left for work and it grumbled about the cold. My lil buggy fired right up, But took an extra few to warm up. Froze my ears getting the flurries off the windshield. Was gonna stop and get some petrel, But said F dat!! I'll stop on the way home.

The stove was cranking 530 off the glass and 340 from the vents and I still have about 60 degrees head room if I open up the feed gate a little more. I would like to pick up some DF in the future . My little weather station read 21 all night finally at 4 am I went outside and changed the batteries , came back in 6 degrees there you go .

I used LaCretes and Blazers last year and found LaCretes the winner and less money . My 2 top pellets last season were LaCretes and Somerset's .
