Says Hardwood on da package. They are from the liggies WV plant going by the chart stevo passed on. On the very bottom, I assume they are the green label lig's AKA Pres to logs.
I got 7 bags of those to top off the 18 bags they had of the Apps. As I didn't feel like waiting for them to bring another skid around, So we just piled them in. Not expecting too much from them. But heck the 20 some odd newps that were in last seasons TSC bags were on par with the MWP imho.
Yes they have! Tomorrow or Sunday I will shut the stove down and take a look at how they burned. Looks good so far though.
What's in the hopper? Nothing right now.. will be off until Sunday night/Monday morning. Too warm out.. NG will take care of this kind of weather. Dan
After a 2 day break the stove upstairs is cooking EB softies and I have to say I really really like the longer burn time with these pellets, coupled with a very hot burn and good ash output I am liking them a lot. Still getting clinkers which are like hard ash cakes that form on the burn pot but unlike the top feeder I had they simply remove without any effort other than then removing ash with the Harman tool. Did not push the flame to far forward today but was not really cold and they were small. In the cellar stove burning MWP blend again .
10* here. High of 12* today, below 0 by morning. I burning a Blazer/Platinum blend that I'm really happy with. A pleasant 75 in here.
Still burning TSC MWPs. As I was laying in bed trying to decide if I was ready to get up this morning, I thought that maybe I should dig out some of the better pellets for this cold spell. Eh, no, the MWPs keep this place plenty warm and unloading 5 rows from the the pile (above my head) sounds like too much work right now. Could always change my mind later though
Grabbed my first ton of Green Supreme/Ligs today at Aubuchon. Haven’t used them since they were a NEWP product years ago. My local TSC isn’t stocking Scot L’s MWP, just the CURRAN junk so I’ll see how it goes.
Those northeastern blends burned pretty good last year. Just picked up 20 bags of them myself but haven't burned any yet.
Changed my mind and uncovered some Ligie Golds. Brought up a bag the cats had poked holes in while climbing the stack so they are ready to go into the P43. Of course they won't actually hit the auger for another day or two and I don't really recall if they were any better than the MWPs. Doesn't matter, they'll burn and I'll stay warm.
