Ok gonna try some Northeast pellets from Maine at Lowe's . They look like a plae soft wood . Anybody been using these yet .
He refers to them as a “blend” pellet in the video. Strange we have never seen those around here until this season, considering they are made right up in ME.
They kinda look like North Country a tad dusty with an average amount of fines for a crumbaly type pellet. We'll see how they burn tonight.
I just found fsu at Home Depot in Albany. They have 20 ton. $249 a ton. Hope they burn good. Last time I burned them they burned nice
If my memory serves me, Northeast was the first pellet mill in Maine and made a decent product until a fire destroyed the place completely. They rebuilt but never seemed to recover to the same level they were at before the fire. At one time they were using kiln dried lumber for their raw material and not drying their product at all. I rarely see them around here. I'll be interested in your review.
I ran north country last year and boy did they have a weird smell. Smelt like cheesy feet. I wasn’t to impressed with them.
Here's the update on NORTHEAST pellets . I did a little research I'm pretty sure it an all softwood and I think when he mentioned blend he meant the types of softwoods that are used . Great heat , burning clean so far only $ 5.58 a bag and 10 percent off $259 if you buy a ton . But a bit to dusty and crumbaly for me 3.75 stars . Also the bag is good although not to much information , just what's on the front.
Haven't started using the EZs yet but in the past they were at the top of the mountain with the best of them. Down here $300 a ton but worth $ 325 all day. Always try a few bags if you can .
