Platinums. They have replaced Lacrete as my favorite pellet.

Yeah, I'm almost done with the Vermont's that I had. I have two bags besides what is in the P43's hopper. P61a has been on TSC MWP's for quite some time.

My next door neighbor swears by Fireside Ultra from HD, thats all they use.

They have been in Florida since last thursday and I have been going by twice a day to keep the P43 running as its the only heat source in a approx 2K sq ft colonial.

I'm impressed-after 7 days now although somewhat high ash, there is zero carbon buildup, zero glass soot and the house is fairly warm in Room temp mode at 60 deg and lowest fan setting.

2 bags per over last 2 days. Otherwise its been a bag. No bad for only heat source but solar gain is strong in March and they get a lot of sun

I just had a Harman Accentra 52i TC installed last week. I love the stove as this is my first pellet stove. I have burned some Lowe’s Greene Team Supremes, VT Wood Pellet Co and just started some Hamer Hot Ones. Trying to experiment before I commit to a ton next season. I find the VTs leave more ash than the Greene Team but hoping the Hamers provide good results. Anyone like the Hamer Hot Ones or can give me feedback on other brands to try? I live outside the Hartford, CT region. Thanks!

I haven't used Hamers in a couple of years because they aren't available in my area (and they'd be outrageously priced if they were), but when I got my hands on some a couple of years ago my P61a loved them. Both stoves love the VT's, but I am a bit surprised that they are ashy for you. I have one more bag for the P43 but it is from last year's batch so maybe something has changed.

Welcome to FHC! Have to agree with b above. Highly unusual that you would see more ash with VTs than with the Green anything you can buy a lowes. Should be exactly the opposite. It could be you got a bad batch of VTs or the best batch ever of GS or both! In any case, don't let it stop you trying VTs again in the future. A few folks on this forum did report getting a bad batch of VTs this year, could be you got some too. It's not normal.

Curious - Lowes sells two products with Green in the name. Green Supreme and Green Team. Which one did you get, or both?

For trying some new stuff - You may want to stop over to A1 Pellet in Rocky Hill. The proprietor - artc is a great guy and a member here. I'm sure he would be happy to set you up with some to try. He's stocks LaCretes, North Country, Vermonts, MWP, and a couple others.

Have fun with that new insert.

    Welcome aboard!!

As others have said, keep trying until you settle in on what you want to load up on. Your Harman will burn almost anything short of rocks, so you can try anything. Use what works best for you

Thanks all for your replies and feedback. Ttdberg the brand at Lowe’s I bought was the green team supreme platinums. (Refer to the photo) I have the Lowe’s App and once they get a shipment of a 1000 bags stores sell out of them quickly. Seems to be very popular for a big box store brand. I did not have to get to any of the other area suppliers until last Saturday and needed something to fire up my new stove. I am burning Hamer Hot Ones right now and my stove is blazing in here good flame nice heat. I definitely will try the VT again. Someone also mentioned they like Spruce Pointe too. I will try A1 pellet in Rocky Hill as well.
