I havent read this thread for a few days but man you guys have some great recipes! Thanks for sharing.
We slaughtered some old roosters (first time ever doing that) and made a lovely chicken soup. Wife made awesome gazpacho from garden veggies. Good food this weekend.
woodsman416 that looks great! Will you stick it in the oven for a bit at the end to firm up the skin? Ive done two in the smoker and the first one was to die for and my friends raved about it. The second time it was good as well but I had to go to work and left it in a bit to long so it was slightly over done. My folks who love turkey thought it was great so mission accomplished I guess. Chicken in the smoker is good to.
I just made up a bunch of patties for pork Cuban sandwiches. Going to grill.them later tonight and hopefully it turns out good it's the first trial. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Fresh ground pork with seasonings made into patties. I'm working on it now so stay tuned Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Ok here we go.....as I stated earlier I ground the pork and added basil, black pepper, garlic, salt, and onion. Made the patties and grilled them to 165. I used the press to keep them nice and flat. Prepped the buns with Dijon mustard, provolone, dill pickles, black forest ham Melted some butter and pressed fresh garlic into it then brushed the burgers with the garlic butter when assembling the sandwich. Assembled everything and put it back on the grill with a weight on top. Grilled it on both sides for a few minutes each to melt everything together and crisp the buns Flipped side Finished product Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
