Me too, I didn't feel like fighting with the weather. Habanero, maple pulled pork, in the Dutch oven cooked on the wood stove. Still pretty darn good.
1 loaf Italian bread 1 pound bacon 1 pound shredded Co-jack 2 stick of butter 2 pouches ranch mix Freaking awesome!
10 minutes in the oven makes it look even better.... could have cut back on the ranch, kinda stout! Just need more beers to wash it down!
Dinner. Mussels and littleneck clams with one of our favorite prosecco's. I get to drink the remaining 20+ ounces of Redd's wicked apple ale. Yummmmm
One of the joys of marrying a west coaster and transplanting her here is that we have great seafood. We had some awesome bread too, dipped in the broth. About 10 ounces to go from that Redd's. Getting a buzz going from that, and I need to save room for dessert.
If you're in warm climate, why not hamburgers on the grill? Seems the first ones of the season are the best!
We have warm weather coming this weekend (upper 50's) I might thaw out some baby back ribs and smoke them! Really need to get on smoking deer jerky. Ahh first smoke of the year.
Oh. My. Soaked two corned beef brisket overnight to leach out some salt. Rubbed them with yellow mustard and then a dry rub of black pepper, garlic powder, brown sugar, and coriander seed. Four hours on the smoker....foiled and finished in the oven at 225 til they hit 200. Chase liberally with IPA. Wow.
picked up a couple pork butts from costco today, think i wii put them on the smoker for tomorrows dinner
