Dude, You are making me HUNGRY! I love the Egg! maybe one of these days I will get one. I am having a hard time justifying it right now as my cheap $300 dollar Akorn is working great........ I already told my wife though that when it's life is over it's game on.

Yeah, whatever works !! I lucked out buying mine mid Feb 2 years ago when sales were slow for the store due to economy. They had to get one from the rafters and had been there a while. They gave me a good discount to move it and coudnt pass it up.

By the way, they were awsume !! Have some leftover for this afternoon football :)

Lookin' good up there G. I didn't plan on smoking, we had a big ol' storm this weekend, but it blew through and today was gorgeous, but cold. I figured I better get one more cook in before I hit the road for a month. No doubt when I return it will be winter and I won't get too many cooks in.

Thawed out a little pork loin, baby backs, and a couple odd beef back ribs for a snack. Got 'em on the smoker at around 2, and worked my way through them. Loin snacks at 3:30, a back rib at 5, and the ribs just came off a little bit ago. Meat overload! Here's a couple pics, since it did happen...

The bread turned out great but I wish I would have added some seasoning such as garlic powder and/or oregano to the mix. By the way, I am doing all of my baking in a crock pot.

Had the first wave of the snowstorm come on through. Cooked up a pot of Southwest Chicken Soup w/black beans and corn. Topped it off with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cilantro. Not sure if that looks good but dang it tasted good!

I threw it together so no exact measurements. Chicken, corn, black beans, dehydrated tomatoes (from my garden), a little bit of onion, maybe 1/4 cup of plain tomato sauce, water to almost cover (most probably would have used broth), 1 TB of cumin, 1 tsp of chili powder, and a dash of red pepper flakes. Cooked it for several hours in the crock pot. As I said I topped it off with cheddar, sour cream, and cilantro.

There are a zillion different recipes for this type of soup. This is what I whipped up. Thanks all!

Took advantage of the turkey on sale. .49 / lb. Wife got two birds. She roasted them, deboned them, and packaged up 20 meals for the freezer. Her birds are moist and tender. Had a nice drumstick and homemade rolls at dinner time.
