All the way down to 53F last night. Back up to 65 later on today. The only thing burning here is the oven; cooking a turkey and a ham.
Kids and Grandkids won't make it back until New Years so I imagine my lovely wife and I will be burning a few red elm rounds and watching the fire while sipping on a cocktail or two. Merry Christmas everyone.......
Merry Christmas to you as well Steve M. Im sitting in front of the stove enjoying the heat from the apple in the stove. Temperature was -3F this morning under clear skies.
No fire here on Christmas either. I think I burnt a few more uglies and some small ash late christmas night, just to drop the humidity in the house. my 15/16 pile is looking more like a 16/17 pile every day.
I ended up saving my Mulberry for a colder day ... looks like Jan 1 will be good day to burn it as our high is only supposed to be 27. That should make for a Happy New Year!
We burned candles. Summer here. Our Christmas dinner looked more like this!: Garlic prawns on the BBQ, fresh fish, BBQ smoked turkey. All outside on the deck.
