It does not look like the welds broke to me. If they did there would be less steel above and below the tube. The welds look intact, it looks like the welds were too hot and they got undercut into the base steel at the toe of the weld, you can clearly see this is where the steel broke.

I seriously doubt it is inferior steel, nor faulty welds, but rather faulty welder settings. The steel was cystalized by too high of amperage when the human welder set up his/her machine.

Hell yeah, that’s awesome! Good for you. I was holding my breath, considering many companies try their best to deny warranty claims, especially on equipment. I figured it was going to be a clause of something like “implements was utilized in a manner for which it was not intended.” That’s fantastic that they’re going to stand by the product and get you a new one. When it comes in, have your buddy possibly put a little extra metal at those spots, to preemptively reinforce a known weak point in the bucket.

The dealer will send it to their scrap pile.

Yes. I am going to ask them that. If they don’t need it, I’ll ask if I can have it. It will cost me some money to get it repaired, but will be nice to have.

I have heard some great things regarding Mahindra Tractors so it was even better to hear that they will back up their products with warrantees well.

Glad to hear that for your sake, and by all means see if you can keep the bucket. Having a bucket with drain holes, and one water tight, can be a great asset.
