I use stihl ultra also, but would like to find a lower cost full synthetic to try..... I usually buy a gallon
at a time. Ultra was $61.00 last time I bought it.

With the big backpack blowers, string trimmer and saw, I use a little more than 20 gal./year.

Rocky Mountain atv is where I usually get mine. I'll buy a gallon or split an order with someone local to get free shipping. I probably used 30-35 gallons of mix last year and maybe 10 so far this year. When I get home in a few weeks I'll be going through 5 gallons or so finishing milling the cherry I have.

Why don't you just order some Bel-Ray off of the Bay? Easy peasy?

I didn't know if you would end up doing that? It's well worth it, IMO.

I got my 660 from Mdavlee, that's what he ran it, I believe. I love the smell of it. It's finely losing that smell. It was a sweet smell...

The original didn't bother me. R50 is a little annoying milling with no breeze. Stihl ultra I can run for 15 minutes and have a headache for hours.

I bought a small jug (12.8 oz) of Husqvarna XP oil. It says it's synthetic, and I imagine it's fine. $6.38 plus tax

I have the same oil And read semi syn on the bottle. If I remember right I read a post where Randy "mastermind" and Terry Landrum said that oil was one of the worse ones that caused carbon deposits. I ran out exclusively for years at 40:1 and do not see carbon issues but I did not idle lots and ran it cutting wood and also used maybe 4 gallons a year in my saw max back then.
