If I couldnt get my stuff and was in a pinch and needed right now, plus had to be 100% syn. I would grab either Poulan syn in silver bottle or the stihl ultra syn in silver bottle.

    syn = synthetic

For what its worth I had to tear down my 390 after like 7 years and did not notice any extreme carbon from it.

Nothing full syn at my O Riley. They had the lucas semi syn but I want full syn. I think I have a bottle of woodland pro full syn in my work truck. Maybe enough for a gallon till I can get more

I use the Lucas semi synthetic. I like it just fine. And it doesn't stink. I would use belray but I hate the way it smells. Motul doesn't bother me the way belray does.

BelRay H1R, Amsoil Dominator, and Stihl Ultra are good oils.

My BIL uses Woodland pro. I have never used it, but it has a great dye in it, and the color is amazing! :)

You can get the Amsoil pretty cheap from a member here. ;)

Stihl won't happen. I have to make special trips to get there. And they close earlier on saturday.

Maybe I should get in touch with that "member" ;)

Can't remember what I paid for a quart? But if you buy more? The oil may get cheaper and make up some difference on the shipping. I know of members who are getting all their oil from him now. Cars, mowers, etc. If it was cheaper elsewhere, I am sure those people would go elsewhere.

I like Good oil and will pay a premium to protect my investment.

If you pinch pennies and cut corners you won't have much ROI.

Good chit ain't cheap and cheap chit an it good.

The vehicle that I really care about gets mobile 1 and thats all I will use in it. The other vehicles her whatever is on sale. Tractor and mowers get either Dello or Rotella T.

If I were to want to use amsoil on it all that may be the way to go.

So buying a quart from him probably won't make fiscal sense.

    Ask him?

I just bought a quart. It was cheaper than a 6 pack of Stihl HP and will make more gallons of fuel.

I've never heard if bel-ray but I normally top off with what is in the crankcase and not mix it up. I run 5w40 Rotlla, its around $100 a pail.

Does synthetic make a big difference? That's all my best saw has seen. The others have seen some regular 2 cycle oil.

I have only tried the Stihl Synthetic gray bottle. I guess I haven't looked around. :zip:

That is what I use. A case lasts quite a while. 5 gals to a little bottle. Most of my cutting is not with the chainsaw so I only burn maybe 10-15 gals a year.
Only thing is it kind of stinks.

Milling I can go through 2 gallons in 2 hours or less. The ultra gives me a headache. The maxima k2 is the least bothersome to my eyes an sinuses. I run 32:1 so a quart is 8 gallons of mix.
