    Nice!!

I assume that is a hydro log lift? I really like the front jack/wheel combo. :)

Yep, hydraulic log lift and a modified front jack with pneumatic tires -- just finished the modifications this week. And have split a couple cord with it. Don't know how I got by without the lift before.

    Wow, looked at the threads.
    Fantastic job
I do think a lift is the ultimate best way to go, bad thing is, if they come with a lift they will drain your bank account.
Do you keep that pretty puppy locked up good? :D

Mike from Mainl, that thing is a beast!! Nice work!!

Regarding that Northstar unit, yea, sure does have lots of work-space room. Also one of the features I love about the Ariens 22. A lot of units I look at have the axel, wheels, motor, hydro tank.... all I the way of the workspace and I often wonder how folks work with them.

Thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead, sense it's the only thread I've posted in lol. Anyway I really haven't been doing much of any wood processing the past few years, but this spring I'm changing all that. My little 22T Huskee splitter is still going strong, it has looked better however. The factory paint on these early models wasn't applied correctly and is peeling off pretty bad.

Anyway here is a small pile of Ash getting ready to be busted up.

That's the newer version of mine. The filter is on the return line and the filter is bottom mount, which is the way it should have been all along.

The bottom mount filter I agree is better but it was tucked in between the engine and tongue on the earlier models which seems like it would have protected it from a split falling on it

Here is the older flat beam my neighbor has been letting me use
not sure how old it is.
The filter is pretty well protected

Definitely a safer location, but it makes changing the filter and fluid an issue, as the pump will run dry a few seconds.

filter is on the return IIRC. I don't think it can starve the pump. I'll take a look:yes:
