What split honeysuckle looks like.

    the honeysuckle that i refer to sprouts sucker branches from the base each spring. each root cluster might send up 10 pencil sized sprouts that may grow 5 feet long. you can break the new ones off easily. if they continue to grow they become more wood like a would need cut to remove. they are more of a bush or shrub, less tree like. still need to destroy the root to kill it. if you don't they will resprout and come back with a vengeance.
