Hey, whatever floats your boat. Whether it's a lifted truck or a full wrap handle and oversized spikes on a 60cc saw. I'm not here to judge.

So a wing that has a built in chainsaw holder is out as well? *bummer*. Oh well, the stacks and a lift kit sound nice as well.

Yea no wing no matter what. Unless you want your truck dragging the road sparking every bump you hit, then maybe a wing is acceptable.?

Maybe the Delta pilot yesterday was trying to knock the wings off his MD80 via the fence, to make it more like a truck??

Whatever you get, make sure it has a set of ballz hanging off the trailer hitch.

I know I have heard long island is somewhat rural in places. But I know nothing about the area.

Do you and most people that live their work on long island, NYC or some other subburb of NY? Just curious.

Well, Long Island is a "weird" place when it comes to your questions.... I'll answer indirectly with some facts about it which will help answer...

    1. Long Island is over 120 miles long, by 23 miles wide (at it's widest point, most of it is about 15 miles wide).
    2. There are just under 8 million people on the entire Island, but....
    3. ....that 8 million includes 5 million who actually live in Brooklyn and Queens which are 2 of the 5 boroughs that make up NYC.
    4. Most folks (including residents of Brooklyn and Queens) do not refer to Brooklyn and Queens as being part of "Long Island", although they are geographically on "the Island".
    5. Interestingly (or amazingly!), Long Island has the LARGEST amount of agriculture in ALL of NY state! Corn, Tomatoes, Grapes (wine), Potatoes are all grown in abundance on LI.
    6. There are 3 national/international airports on LI, two of them among the busiest in the world: JFK and LaGuardia (Delta accident yesterday!) serving NYC.
    7. Two of the wealthiest area's in the world are located on LI, one on the North Shore about 20 to 30 miles from NYC. The 2nd the well known "Hamptons" area on the east end of LI where those 1%'ers all either live or have summer "estates". I say estates because most of those houses are on or near the ocean front, and are 10k+ sq feet MANSIONS that sell for 18 gabillion dollars per sq inch. Yet they use them 3 weeks out of the year! Lots of old foreign money (British, French, Italian) out there, including half of Hollywood in the summer.
    8. Work/business: Many of the largest companies in the world are either based (World HQ), or have large offices (US HQ) on the western 1/2 of LI, or in NYC area of course, so many people either commute to NYC (via train), or to these world HQ offices on LI for work. However, there are also many industrial park areas in the suburbian area in the middle of LI, and many folks work in those areas. And lastly, there are lots of service oriented workers (construction, landscapers...) working on the large population suburbian areas (remember 8 million people?), as well as the two very wealthy areas ("North Shore" and "East End"). Those east end mansions are redone every 2 years when they turn over... During the week, at 7am, the highway heading to the East End is lined up and jammed with work vans and pickup work trucks for 40 miles on their way out to work.

I work at an international company (German) that has our North America HQ here on the Island. Typical for those that don't work/commute to the city.

The great thing about LI is, we have 100 miles of white sand Ocean beaches, fishing, boating, the Hamptons "fun", skiing just a 3 hour drive north (Catskills or 4 or 5 hours to VT) and of course we have one of the greatest cities in the world with all it's craziness just a 1/2 hour drive or train ride in. And yet, this is my backyard this morning:

Of course I left out, the ridiculous traffic, the fact it's the most expensive place to live in the country right now, the HIGH taxes, expensive homes and property, everything is expensive! Did I mention it cost a lot to live here?? ;)

"North shore" area is mostly in close to NYC. Lots of CEO's... big 50 million a year type executives live in that area in mansions overlooking the LI Sound.

There are more people on LI than over 1/2 of the states if I recall correctly... something crazy like that.

Here's a glimpse of the LI Mansions (started with the Roosevelt's, Vanderbuilts,....) Check this out:

Mach's picture is of the South Shore looking out to the bay and eventually the ocean. This pic is of the North Shore. It's a creek off the LI Sound. Over the trees is the sound and Connecticut.
