What is the advantage(s) of the 562xp over a 25 year old 371xp?

We are remodeling the basement Man cave area and the TV was a tube style 25". So we upgraded. But yeah, a 50" in the Family room, 65" in living room, and 50" in the basement.

    Derailment again... o_O

I just ordered a Samsung smart Internet tv. Planning to give up cable and go with Netflix/Hulu.

Hopefully it lasts longer than 2.5 years.

We just replaced our 46" vizio with a 42" LG led. It lasted 5 years and the screen started going dark.

Until 2010 I still used the huge 25" Quazar early 80's console that parents gave me some 20 yrs earlier...It finally shot craps & out to the curb it went.Heavy beast, just over 4 foot long with a great stereo speaker system & very nice real wood cabinet.Thought about gutting it & remaking the cabinet to hold the VCR,DVD,digital cable box & other stuff but had too many other projects in the fire so didn't go that route.Since then its a 20" non flat screen that's about 10 yrs old.Long narrow room so no room for a big screen even if I was into much TV anyway, couldnt care less for sports & what passes for popular these days.

I don't care about sports either. Although here I am sitting watching Clemson/Carolina!!

The 27" we have is probably 12 yrs old. That's one reason I won't spend the big bucks on those big TVs they don't last!

I have never had cable. When I spend time traveling for work I will turn on TV in the hotel then realize I will never spend the money for those shows on cable.

Three years ago I signed up for Hulu plus and can watch when I want with less commercials. I like it.

I'm addicted to TV. I love it. My dad always did although we watch totally opposite things mostly. The entertainment I get out of it is way more than a cell phone that most pay for.

Did just that 3 years ago. No regrets. Plus we have 6 over the air channels free.
