What is most important when sharpening a chain

    Neighbor can sharpen 3/8 lp and .325
    But he brings me all his 3/8
    He simply can't figure out 3/8 for some reason

    I’m no pro but my goal is to have that working corner or hook (or whatever the pros call it) as sharp as a cat’s claw.
    I hand file unless I hit a stone or barbed wire.
