Yes, it's not the nicest part of the state of indiana...that's for sure. Its good enough for a camping spot though! Its in the middle of nowhere. That's also the reason it was so cheap. I wouldn't be able to afford land where I live. It's $20,000 an acre.

    Basically it's like bobdog2o02 said,
Better to have it and not need it than be walking back to the truck or house with chit chasing, chomping, or shooting at you.

Based on the recent events, make sure if you need to shoot someone or something, you kill it and off video! You do t want a tree hugger getting you twice. Once for cutting wood, and secondly for hurting something else living. Luckily most two legged creatures stay in the cities though:dex:. My apologies for getting somewhat off subject. Just so sick of the crap happening in the cities.

We don't have pictures on ours, just an old fashioned piece of paper. There is still freedom and liberty, but it is fading fast. Cherish it and protect it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texas and NH should be connected, the few states left with common sense. ( Maine & Vermont included  )

You mean like this one, that photo is about 15 feet away, no zoom. We see 20 to 30 bears, ( or the same few that many times ) over the camping season. They just walk right through up here in the whites. DSCN0685.JPG DSCN0686.JPG DSCN0687.JPG DSCN0688.JPG

My grandpa said "if you pull it out be ready to use it, otherwise don't take it out". If it comes out it gets emptied

I have had mine for quite awhile now. There are a lot of other states that honor the Wyoming permit. It looks like my drivers license but has a picture of a 45 acp on it. The police here like seeing it because they know that you have gone through a thorough back ground check.

When i have been pulled over in the past i always hand my permit and my drivers license, they ask if i was carrying and where it was. I also always get a sincere thank you afterwards.

Well for some people when they go out to collect their firewood one of the tools they take with them is a firearm. So this is a discussion on what people use just like you would use an ax or a maul, or even a sledge hammer. People take all kinds of things into the woods with them when cutting.

Is firearm talk not allowed on this forum?

In the original post, the OP asked if anyone brings firearms along. It's not like the thread drifted, it's exactly what they asked.

Certain things are not allowed; not sure if bragging about guns is one of them or not, because they tend to get into heated arguments. I know that political talk is not allowed. I guess the moderators need to step in on this one.

Well, the only one complaining out of 100 posts is you. I'm not seeing any arguments??

IF we were talking about dogs because people like to take their dogs with them when cutting wood then is that not allowed either.

You are the only one making it political.
There is no heated arguments here unless you trying to start one.
People have arguments over what saws are best so should we avoid that also.
Come on lets be nice and just do not read it if you it bothers you.
I think we were having a nice friendly discussion. Lets keep it that way.

Moved to the Game forum which is where we talk about firearms. This thread is about firearms more than firewood. For the record, we can discuss firearms as much as we want here as long as we keep the politics out of it, and it's fine if they are discussed in any of our forums as long as it is in the context of the thread and the thread actually belongs in that forum.
