"Fishing" since I like fishing, "pol" since I have a Polish last name.

Fishing has taken a back seat to other hobbies. I could have changed my screen name several times as interests change, but it is name recognition at this point.

My daughter picked mine, because I do most of my splitting with a screw splitter and they think I'm losing it for the amount of wood we have.

I just use the same screen name for all the forums (either bogie, or bogieb if bogie is already taken). Started out using the name of a dog we had, haven't ever seen any reason to change it. Also provides some amusement value as people tend to assume I'm male between the name and some of my activities and projects :D:cool:.

Dog man from WAY back.................You would have to own a Rott to understand. Now, we seem to have the best of two worlds with our latest acquisition.

Pretty simple really (for me anyway). All the Gkids call me Papa, and I think most here know my name by now. It differentiates me from all the other Dave guys on here.
Never had a Rotti, but we did some training with one of our now long gone puppies, and the woman trainer had one. Dog was bigger than her, and all she did to control that dog was use hand signals.
Had another smaller woman here to help with FIL a couple times a week and she had 5 of 'em. She called 'em her babies. We never got the chance to meet them.

Well, glad to see that 4 years ago you saw the light and came to the big blue oval.. I switched to the Ram Eco Diesel when they came out, and kept it for 11 months. It was way underpowered for my liking, and I never did get used to the ergonomics of the Ram cab versus the Ford. Went back to a Super Duty.

I'm a Kevin, and I went to school and was on the football team at the University of Tennessee. Our mascot is the Volunteers, or Vols for short. Hence, VolKevin.

You have heard of golf widows, grass widows? I could be considered a wood widow as I am left working while campinspecter goes out to play gathering firewood. When I can, I enjoy going out with him and gathering firewood as well. My avatar was one of our favorite places by a lakeside to have a fire and roast hot dogs. High water one winter moved everything away so the firepit isn't there any more.

my first and only forum.. was trying to practice what I preaching to my Lil girl about Internet safety.. my wife is dual citizen Canada US and we live 12 some odd miles from Border hence Canadian border VT.. in my youth before I settled down I traveled all of US some of Europe Australia Asia.. the first thing people ask when you meet is where your from.. Amazing if you say VT how many people ask what state is that in? (Americans :picard:understandable in foreign countries) because it was easier always said 50k south of Montreal. in thousands of conversations 2 people knew that was not canada
