Maybe pick the 11 yr old up cheap and let him season for 2 yrs. About then the Oak I split last month will be waiting on him. On second thought my youngest is 19 not wanting to be high school parent again
Got this cart from Northern tool. I don't think they carry one like this with the pneumatic tires anymore. Sits up high and saves on bend overs. Something I am starting to appreciate more the older I get.
Thanks for the mention here SkidderDone Like everything we manufacture, the WoodOX Sling is high quality, guaranteed for life, and proudly made in the USA. What separates the WoodOX Sling from other firewood bag and tote designs, is the patented, adjustable cross body strap design and arm slot on the side of the sling, which securely holds the firewood close and distributes its weight across your body, rather than awkwardly putting it all on one arm. Not to mention the included LED flashlight we attached onto the side to help light your path, just for good measure. This method is obviously a lot more ergonomic than other options for hand carrying firewood indoors, especially if you have to go up stairs and/or using a wood cart isn't a good option for you. Our design helps you to maintain your balance while keeping your spine straight as you walk, easily open/close doors then maneuver around household objects, and allows you to take pieces directly off your woodpile and unload them (into your fireside Hearth Bin) with much less bending over throughout the process. This design really is a game changer for folks with limiting physical disabilities as well. So much so, that it was assessed by the Perdue University based National AgrAbility Project to be a useful device for anyone with "strength, endurance, or back" related issues and was added to their Assistive Technology Database this year. Here's what Eric from "Life in Farmland" thought after testing it out: As always, I'd be happy to answer any questions.
Ford Ranger to get from the stacks to the house, then by hand with my 6 and 3 yr olds trying to help.
