I only cut wood from log piles in the front yard, so usually just the saw . But I do have a bag I usually bring out too with a hatchet, tools, wedges, etc. pretty much the same as everyone else it just usually stays in the shop ~20 feet away
What, no jerky??? Nice assortment of tools, you probably have found reasons to carry them all at one point.
Seems to grow a bit every year too. I may someday be the poster child for Perfect OSHA Woodcutter Like the cowboy or santa after OSHA:
Newly acquired idea I got from reading this thread... I can take that extra pair of socks outta the toolbox and replace with a proper roll of arse wipe J/K, my roll is in the cab! Saws, xtra chains, scrench, PPE, gas/oil jug, bar oil, bar tip grease gun, cell phone, rope, chain, hatchet, splitter, water, snacks(no jerky Horkn) Need a legitimate first aid kit, tho...
The jerky, and a can of mtn dew will cure any amount of hangry I can get. I don't take too much in the woods as I'm close enough to my buddy's house. Cell phone, scrwench, my cutting box with my tools, oil, pre mix, spare gloves, chaps, and my cell phone.
Among other things ,I take my , re bent extra long hay hook , cost 8 bucks , 17" long, used it most of the day today
This. Plus PPE, saws, peavy, beef log, jerky, eye wash & h2o as needed. Oh, and a cigar for the drive home!
do you fit all that stuff in that tool bag? What the heck why am I not using the tool bag I'm going to take all my construction crap out of my big tool bag and start using it for my wood cutting stuff
when spring time comes I keep all my stuff ready in the truck, because if I get a hit on Craigslist I gotta jump on it
