Ariens ST824LE. Bought it many years ago although it only gets used maybe 1-3 times a year living here in NE Ohio. Growing up on Grand Island, NY (just north of Buffalo) taught me all about snow removal and being prepared  . I also made some wider sheet metal "skis" for it that I pop-riveted to the existing ones as I have a gravel driveway. They let me mostly ride about 1" over the gravel without picking it up.

recently lost reverse in the J20. tricky plowing to say the least. got to think ahead where to push snow that i can roll backwards to get out. i am on an 1800' lane now so i mostly run it angled to shove the white stuff off the mountain. hasnt let me down yet!

I would like to find a nice J-20. Came across one several years ago but it had a 258. If it had been a V-8 I would now own it.

Not to pick on those running Fisher, Meyer, etc., but I love the hookup on my Boss. Literally on and off in a couple of minutes and no external brackets and cylinders.

I probably would have done something different, but the Meyer plow was only $1500 (including the truck).

Last February, I broke down and bought a Toro Power Max 826 OE Snowthrower. Used it a couple times late last winter and several (*&^%!!!!) times this winter so far. Better than shoveling.

ps, not sure what happened, but pressed the "post reply" button and nothing happened. I'll press it again and it may show up double. Hey, have to get my post count up somehow.

Colin, the PowerMax line up is my personal favorite for walk-behinds. Great pick!
