Spent 4 years in the Marine Corps as a diesel mechanic. Got into a commercial electrician IBEW apprenticeship in local 5 out of Pittsburgh worked there for 6 years. Working on power plants, school's, hospitals, sewage plants, prisons and universities. Then when the work got bad I got hired at the railroad as an electrician where I've built locomotives from the ground up (our railroad is the only class 1 railroad to build their own locomotives ). 200 ton crane operator. I am currently working in the electric shop (still for the railroad) winding different types of locomotive electric motors.

I know what a fluffer is. Didn't even have to google it.

He did say that we might have seen some of his work though. Fluffers don't make it into the films,

The unit in the air is an EMD model GP 33 Eco mother (formally a GP 50) we stripped the unit to the frame gave it a new cab, new high voltage cabinet, all new wiring and built it to our railroads specs. We also split the long hood into a two piece hood, modify the rear hood to accept the larger radiators. The one shop that Scotty Overkill worked in he built the slugs to go with the mothers that I was building.

That is a stator a SD 70 air compressor motor. As for the rotors we do not wind them, we just test with a big magnet and magnetic paper that allows the internal coils to show up on the paper to make sure all the coils are intact. Before we send the pieces to the air compressor gang for final assembly.

I did a lot of r&d work on the Eco inertia room and designed the two piece hood. We had a bunch of obstacles to over come on those units but we did it. I work on the slugs now which have just been completed no we are building sd90 dc units into sd70 ac units and doing gp38 recabs from the old high nose style to the crash worthy admiral cabs.

Field Service repair/ install for medical equipment. Patient monitors, telemetry and diagnostic cardiology.

I have a company vehicle, laptop and phone and travel a region working in different hospitals. Take out the government bureaucracy and red tape and I really enjoy my job.

I will say Joe can be stubborn to work with but his wiring always looks very professional when it's done.
