Awesome job! I came up with a used basketball floor once, but they did not throw in a bulldozer to seal the deal!
So got sidetracked on the updates. Here’s the room almost done, just a couple finishing touches needed.... A couple black smithed bookends. A couple barn beam shelves with black smithed strap hangers to match the mantle.
Ok now here’s the new trouble..... The kitchen! The wall behind the sink had brick veneer all over it so easiest thing was to tear out the drywall. New drywall and cabinets all removed. Fresh paint all new plugs, switches, lights and of course more hardwood. Getting ready to fire up the sander this morning. Stain’s a dryin’
nice work but what happened to the bulldozer projects?? I hate getting sidetracked by other obsessions JB
Looks great, the only tip I would mention and it’s too late for you. When sheet rocking, and doing kitchen lay a full sheet between the top of the Base Cabinets and the uppers. That way you have no tape scene where all the outlets and top of the counter is. An old timer showed me that trick
Wish I’d have thought of that!! That darn seam ran right across all the 5 boxes smack dab down the space where there’s no cabinets. I’m thinking some stone tile is going to be going in there though.
Or maybe some of your leftover flooring? That would make for an interesting look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
why it’s a great trick.. taping and feathering around boxes suck.. also lower and upper seams behind cabinets.. still tape them but less of perfectionist
