It’s official, documents signed. I ain’t workin’ there no more.

 

7 year anniversary of Desaturating Seven so they pressed a black color variant. Sounds superb! The original was clear vinyl.

The toilet paper roll football scene in the bar is etched to hard drive. Of course I loved this movie as a kid. There's no way I couldn't.

 

Somewhat local record store got an ultrasonic record cleaner. $10 to clean 10. So far I’ve listened to 6. 3 have been a night and day difference in clicks/pops, the others a significant improvement. Spinning this one now and . This song sounds incredible.




This one sounds great too.

 

This copy of one of my favorite records was almost unbearable with noise. It was like buying a new record after the clean.



Found the Bang & Olufsen turntable for my dad. He had one for years and loved it. A power surge took it out. The replacement is a fully manual one, which he never liked. So when he gets back from vaca, I’ll switch em out. Have to admit, I really like it. Might have to get his old one fixed.

 

The song and movie both have a special place in my heart.

Seems like he never got recognition he deserved as an artist (He is finally being inducted into the HOF). I like this song of his in particular because I know that John Anderson was a worker on a crew that re-roofed The Grand Ole Opry in 1974, while he played on weekends in 'low places' (honky tonks & dives).
