What are you listening to right now?

That's just a little before my time. Born in '87. Only reason I'm partial to MV, it came out when i was a sophomore. Plus i like the drawn out lyrics. Funner to sing to.

MV is probably their first "sellout" album? Meaning more for radio and what the record labels wanted at the time.

Guess I'm gonna get into some of their older stuff today. Been quite around here lately. Thanks for the idea.

Another band i remember liking was 311.

 

Ah Incubus. Great band, and they are into motorcycles and track days. Hard to go wrong with that.

Rerelease of jar of flies. Time flies I guess.

Friday was Puscifer day at work. I just let my music streaming service go random and it actually was a really good work mix.

It's been a few years since I've heard that song and relistening makes me remember how great that song and it's lyrics are.

 

Heck of a 1st concert! Mine was Kix and I would have been 14 as well. 1986ish.

 

311. One of my favorites as well. Kids from Nebraska doing what they love and making enough money to buy an island in the Caribbean. They're still out there playing I see.

 

We were just playing 311 on the way to the record store. They’re touring, not close enough to be on my radar though.

 

AC/DC was my first in 1981 when in 8th grade. IIRC that was my second.

I've heard the fake lyrics before, but I honestly think those fake lyrics are better than the actual ones.
I'll add this, I'm not a fan of pearl jam. I like "Ten" mostly because Vedder didn't write any of those songs. He was essentially a hired voice for that album. After that, he started writing songs for PJ. Yellow ledbetter is honestly IMHO their absolute worst song and the most overrated song of the whole genre of grunge. It's just that bad. Even worse, the original lyrics suck.

Ok I'll stop.
