Yes, definitely Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. I heard about that years ago watching one of those VH-1 Behind The Music documentaries on Led Zeppelin. It was narrated by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Anyway, Page had gotten around a bit way back then, bringing the Yardbirds to the next level playing his guitar with a violin bow. His solos still give me goosebumps.

What always impressed me was these weren't garage band fellows banging on instruments, they all are primo professional studio musicians who can read, write, compose, arrange music and each other. Pretty amazing group of chaps.

First time I've clicked in this thread. there went a couple of hours!

Here's what's playing in the background. I go all over the spectrum though.
Depends on the situation. Blues is my go to though.

I just noticed it has a bad word for family friendly. Delete if not allowed. Sorry.

My daughter, now 39, loves my Donovan collection. She caught him at the Calvin Theater in Northampton Mass a few years ago and said he's more of a hippie now than he was then. :)

One of the best jazz tunes and performances ever. Dexter Gordon sax and Donald Byrd trumpet. Fabulous.

There’s not much modern country music that does it for me, but this one…. did. I’ll have to file this one away for Mother’s Day.

I went to a general admission Primus show and I bet there was barely over 100 people at it. I was shocked and thinking the promoter lost big. This was in the late 90’s too.

    LOVE brass!

Try outs for band placement today, got to know her song pretty well. Put this on for her because the similar slur between notes instead of hard notes, the slurs in video above. She nailed it after hearing it from a movie we've seen.

Way before they developed a following. Pretty cool! :dex: Earliest ticket stub posted on a fb group I saw was '93. Was this left coast? Did you think they were the weirdest you've ever seen?
