I haven't seen them, I've heard of them, that had to be fun. Being from the St. Louis area, I've seen a local Pink Floyd tribute band called El Monstero. Not sure how the name fits in, but my son and DIL took me to see them, that was a fun night.

In a different life, many many years ago, we used to pass around 3 joints with 5 people. Young and dumb.... But anyway, that was the mindset, and this song was an overly entertaining song during that blank stage of life. Can't believe I actually found it on youtube.

A little diddly about the love story of a cop named Buzz the Fuzz, and a woman named "Alice D".... LOL

I was fortunate enough to be living in Syracuse at the time and see Pink Floyd at the Carrier Dome. If I remember right it was 1993 or 1994. Wart Hogs, flames shooting up from the stage, and :smoke:of different kinds being shared, passed down the rows.

    A very memorable performance.:)

Another awesome concert down there was Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers at the Onondaga War Memorial. Again in that same time range. This was probably 1992-1993 timeframe. I think the Full Moon Fever Tour. Maybe. Some “different” odors at that concert too.

Hmmm. Looks like it may have been 1995. :emb:

In the late 80's I was fortunate to see Tom Petty in a small "in the round" playhouse, about 200 seats, in west St. Louis county. Excellent show. May he RIP!

I was sporting these riding jerseys when I did RAGBRAI ( Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa ). I got lots of compliments & more than one offer to detour into a cornfield for a few minutes. The Division Bell jersey just plain weirded some people out.

You guys got me going on a Pink Floyd kick. I kind of got pulled into their music backwards, chronologically speaking. First through the wall album, then dark side of the moon, atom heart mother, all the way back to the Syd Barrett days.
This is one of my favorite songs by them because of the fact that I’ve only heard it played on the radio once, ever. This particular video seems time-appropriate as well.

I don't have Obscured by Clouds, I don't remember that song, but I'm sure I've had to hear it. Entirely composed by David Gilmore.
He was strange, it's interesting how a lot of highly intelligent people can't function as normal people, but they left their mark in one way or another.

    Times were tough!
I took about a 40 year break, now it's about once a year, and then it's restrained. :smoke:

Final performances are always sad, Doc Watson had quite a career.

Just finished watching this for the 3rd time today. All I can say is WOW, she gave it her all in this performance, what a powerhouse. Another talent gone way too soon, what a shame..
