Great song. All of his work is so good. Cohn is the songwriter's songwriter. One of my favs is "The Thing's We've Handed Down".

I've been inside feeding the stove left handed due to right shoulder rotator cuff surgery. So lots of music.

ZZ Top. One of my favorites is One Foot In the Blues. Here's a song from that. It's seen steady rotation lately.

Another one from my spin collection. Joni as a mature middle age woman dealing with all of what we normal people go through in many ways.

Went out with the bride last night, did dinner at a lovely small but excellent cafe in Jaffrey NH, then over to The Peterborough Town Hall (really is the town hall) and saw one of the best performers/blues men in the world. (just my opinion) He has numerous of his own albums, but over his 50 year career he has been a back up musician, for Jerry Jeff Walker, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, many many more. He played in Boston at Paul's Mall, and his opening act was an unknown but talented Bruce Springsteen.

He was fabulous and did this little number and many others.

I know there aren't all that many jazz lovers in the world anymore, but I've found many people like it when they hear good jazz, finding what you might like can be a bit difficult as there are so many names and once you get past a small handful like Coltrane, Miles Davis, it gets blurry.

I love the small jazz quartets and quintets of the late 50s and early 60s. Coltrane, Davis, Brubeck, Hancock, Rollins.. it's easy to miss genius and talent sometimes but I continue to add to my list of favorite performers. This guy, Freddie Hubbard, was kind of buried somewhere behind the Miles, and Donald Byrd and other horn players.. but he is fabulous.

With headphones while watching a wet, cold Patriots vs Dallas in a slow sloppy game.

Roy Hargrove, the trumpet player died at 49 after being on dialysis for the last 14 years of his life. A very talented musician.
