1991 2019 Meat Puppets still making some interesting music... Nice to see Curt Kirkwood's son in the band.
Song I sang with my Dad, and the following one, we traded me on trumpet, both on piano, and him on clarinet with the song playing on the record player. Exceptional man I was privy to be born to.
Listening for "trick or treaters" knock on the door. Another year of candy clean up for the next few days!
Can you tell me about a marriage, I remember a later album he's pouring his heart out about I assume his wife. Would that son be her's too and are they together? 8:30 out there? He and Peter Gabriel blow my mind on stage. Love the brass Phil always had.
his mother was andrea bertorelli.1975 to 1980. they split up.and the son is simon.the other son plays the drums on stage with phil at one time. he had 2 girls as well.plil had 3 wifes.i think
Phil has been quite an influence on my playing, over too many years... ... it's hard for me to watch his latest concert clips tho... but got to give him credit for still getting up there and singing. He's had an amazing career.
Listening to Pandora at work @ 2AM. Crowder, Third Day, whatever comes on the Christian Rock Radio station.
Googled Phil Collins and Genesis, the Face Value album was about losing his marriage, poor guy not lucky in that dept. Yes clay shooter your neighbor is a child from that divorce, it was Andrea. Now I just found out Mike & the Mechanics is from Genesis too. I missed the hub bub on Mike & Mechanics but years later bought a CD on clearance and LOVED it even a decade or so later. Another song that still brings tears to my eyes is (ya ya it was over my first dog but still speaks to me about my Dad and especially his wife).
It was a mild mid 30s no wind and dry Sunday morning, I made western omelettes for me and the bride, fetched her that paper and then played a little jazz on the turntable. No records were melted while taking these pics. I'm only kinda' dumb but not that dumb.
