Anyone from the midwest remember these? They were played on New Years Eve traditionally.

yooperdave Do you remember listening to duck Biondi on WLS? He was on in the evening. We even got his record of the Pizza song and knock/knock jokes on the flip side. We also listened to KAAY out of Little Rock, Ark. IIRC both of those stations were clear channel AM stations.

Started listening to WLS back in the early 60's. Don't specifically remember Biondi, but if he was on in the evenigs throughout the 60's and 70's, I heard him!

Also listened to Little Rock Arkansas but it was only when it would come in clear enough....remember, this is the U.P.

No. It was only in the night time and usually short lived when it happened. But, long enough to search for it from time to time.
We didn't get out first FM station around here until the late side of the mid 70's

IIRC KAAY in Little Rock was a 50,000Watt clear channel station. We usually listened to it in the evening after sunset.

Ok our local talk station is licensed at 5700 watts and broadcasts at 5000 daytime and 840 at night, that explains why I am barely getting the signal about 50 to 60 miles from the tower

I haven't been excited about new music for a while...until now! These boys are bringing real Rock n Roll back to the scene!
Greta Van Fleet. If you like 70s rock, you will like this. Enjoy.
