The coil wire is broken short. Aside from that, I'm not sure if it's missing anything else. This was all he had. Want's me to try and get 'er goin again. I'm going to have to lean on the knowledge of everyone else on this one.

There's several pioneer/partner/poulan pro parts that interchange on that coil.

    Nope.

With a ruybber bed mat, tossing firewood in the bed is a bad combination.
I knew it would happen eventually.. Wasnt being careful enough.

Chucked a split piece of wood in, about the 5th one i tossed into the bed.
It bounced up and stabbed the window.
I'll have a new one on Monday.

Changed out the straight 30W in the tractor to 5W30 for the cold weather, Blew and ground up some leaves then got to work on wood cuttin' :saw:.

Took down the rest of what I think was a basswood (toothed leaves, but reddish heartwood). It blew over barber chair style from a town owned lot into my neighbors yard with the top resting uphill and the break about 6' up. He had it cut to the fence line so I took the rest. Probably 14-16 feet of trunk running from about 14" to 10".

After that I cleaned up two more large tops that blew down in the same storm. Ended up with about 8 large wheel barrow loads. At least it's starting to look cleaned up.

Why not just run 5w 30 all year? Its all 30w oil when warm and 5w30 cold starts better with better lube. Just curious?

Figured it was time to put some tlc and money into the old k10. I havent dont anything really other than fluid changes in the 10+ years I have had it..and one set of plugs.

Put in new cap, cap cover, rotor, new plugs, wires, carb fuel filter. Still have an old see through primary on there. Got an air filter but its wrong size :-(. Put a new PCV valve on it. Going to replace the leaky thermostat housing gasket soon.

Edit: Oh and I got two new belts for it! :)

    Guess thats it.??

pulses is a just a extra button specialy in expensive machines , migs and tigs , just push it and it gives you the same results like in yours pictures , you just drive the gun the rest will do from the machine .
again , you made very professional work

I know what it is , and have that option / buttons on our machines at work. I just keep them off

the welds in those pics were TIG welded not MIG (no gun)

Straight 30 HD in air cooled engine seems to really do well. My generator consumes 5/30 but the level does not move using the 30W. The mower seems to be the same. I never have to add any oil when using it. Not sure about the HD part, whether its a different add pack or not.
