I can't use the "like" button on that Guido but appreciate your restraint.

Mounting some new "TireRack" snow tires on my daughter's Honda CRV, looks like just in time!

Yep, it is Shadwell. Next to Luck Stone.

How are you holding up? Did you sell that Studebaker truck?

Doing well, pacemaker was installed 5 weeks ago today. The truck did not sell, but I am working on a plan to clear out my building next year. Let me know if there is anything you are interested in.

Gotta tree fiddy on my bench. My nephew needed a saw so I found a decent one on craigs. Metal clamp is due tomorrow and I've already put loctite on the lower case screws. Heck the piston still has all its machine marks!

My first saw was a 351, burned up the top end because of the intake clamp. Learned a lot after that mistake!

Installing a new Carb, and starter re-coil unit on my 3000kw Kipor generator last night... These things are nuts! The thing is so stuffed into the case that when you unbolt the case it pops open like it's spring loaded! Fun fun fun getting it all back into the case!

You know, the first time I opened this thing up a few years ago to change the fuel pump (which ended up not the problem!), it was a "nightmare". Took 10 minutes to open up, 10 minutes to swap out the fuel pump, and then 4 hours plus to get the dang thing back together properly. It's like a jig saw puzzle. BUT, now that I know how to do it and the correct order to do it, and what to hold when putting bolts back in.... It actually isn't 1/2 as bad as is looks, and only takes 1/2 hour or so.

But I'll tell you this, this 3kw unit is GREAT. Starts right up, and when it's running full blast you can barely hear it. In addition, it's a "Signemaster" which means it has an inverter on it so it is always outputting a nice clean signal. Those "frame" units you refer to not only do not output clean signals and can ruin modern electronic equipment, they are LOUD! I had one of the cheap ones and it was terrible. My brother has a 3kw diesel frame type unit, it runs like a champ, but you can hear it 4 miles down the road, and it takes 3 people to lift it and put it in a truck. My Kipor weighs 40lbs, you just pick it up by the handle. ;)
