Field Day of the Past in Goochland, VA which is located just west of Richmond. I have a combine that separates the peanuts from the vines. I give away all the peanuts.

I've got about 2 cord of firewood to split and stack before archery season starts in a couple weeks. Nothing as sexy as running my ported saws at the ad hoc South Central PA GTG this weekend. That was probably my last 2-stroke time until mid Jan end of deer season.

I went to it three years ago but have not had a chance to go back since. Isn't there one in Renfro Valley as well?

I can't post a link from my phone, but we should have 45,000 people come through the gates over 3 days this weekend.

Yesterday evening had a firewood cutter come by. Maroon 42cc poulan in parts. All covers bar chain etc off with muffler hanging.
While owner was still here. I seen both bolts T30 were still in there and gasket and heat shield was still in place. So I just tightened them up to make sure threads not all wollerded out in the cylinder. Said you put it all back together you can take it back now. No charge.

Red Homie 150 I repaired & freshened up for a bud a couple yrs back. Now, on a volunteer project at Audubon site, he just couldn't get it to start. Thought for sure he'd melt the recoil from cranking. Not one audible pop out of it. Recoil wouldn't pull all the cord in. Let's pack it up.

Stuff in the fuel tank smelled like paint thinner, seemed to be oil-free, straw-colored.

Carb badly misadjusted, chain adjusted tight enough to keep it from moving if it did run. One bar nut waiting for chance to fall off.

Ancient engine runs fine now, on 40:1. Chain still needs serious work. No mi trabajo.

I'm having fun with my early-70s 150. Little over 9 lb PHO.

I worked on a Husqvarna 61 today. Made two new gaskets for the intake, rebuilt the carb, installed a new fuel line.
    Saw starts, runs, idles good.

Yep, they have a show in Renfro Valley, I haven't been in a couple of years.

Clay City has a small show every year and they have a nice building/museum full of area historical items. We donated a 1917 V8 Cadillac engine we found while looking for our JD W "Pure Oil" engine. Both of these were used to power oil field equipment.

45,000 people thru the gate! That sounds like its on the same scale as the Portland, Indiana show. Sounds like Dad and I need to put your show on our bucketlist.

Back to the thread topic. What am I working on today? My woodpile, going to add some Osage Orange. Need to work on a hydraulic leak on the JD 4000 and split the Ford 8N so I can get the engine off to the machine shop.
